An Attitude of Gratitude I've caught a case of holiday spirit, it seems, despite frequent hand washing and taking a daily vitamin. The pumpkin spice candle is burning, the DVD of A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving sits on top of the TV and the Thanksgiving Day dinner menu has been finalized.
In the spirit of the season, I've been thinking about the things I'm thankful for, big and small, personal and fangirlish. Here are a few:
*Stephen King's monthly column in Entertainment Weekly
*Spending my entire lunch hour browsing in a bookstore
*My adorable, gorgeous three-year-old niece
*The temporary upgrade to the next highest Netflix level I received in September because of some strangers winning their class action lawsuit against Netflix
*Watching my favorite TV shows on DVD, gleefully avoiding commercials and those annoying pop up ads and logos
*Getting a free rental at Hollywood Video every year on my birthday
*The new Ultimate Collector's Edition DVD of A Christmas Story is out
*The presidential election is finally over
*Roger Ebert's blog
*Turner Classic Movies
*ER is finally coming to an end after the current season
*This season of ER is surprisingly good
*The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother making Monday night on CBS the new "must see TV"
*Tina Fey
*The big stack of unread-for-now books on my nightstand
*Battlestar Galactica (both the original series and the Sci-Fi Channel reboot)
*Websites and message boards for crazed fanpersons
