READER WRITES WILL ON LA FLA PLANE CRASH ARTICLE

Hi Will,
In your air crash page (Re: La Fla, PCR #194 --N) – 4 people survived the Cali crash of AA 965. A dog in the cargo hold also made it.

Kind regards,
Dave Jackson

WILL MORIATY RESPONDS:

The reference Mr. Jackson made concerns a La Floridiana article in PCR #124 titled "Notable Aircraft Crashes In, Bound For and Bound From, Florida" in which I stated that all 164 passengers on board a 1995 American Airlines flight from Miami to Cali Colombia perished.

Thank you Dave for setting the record straight!

WILL

READER WRITES ANDY ON ODDERVATIONS VH-1 SERIES

To Andy Lalino
Your web page on VH-1's Bands Reunited was awesome (Re: "Oddservations", PCRs 201, 202, and 203---N) ............I've seen each of the bands you profiled at least three times on this show......your comments echo mine.......Berlin and The Flock are in a tie for my favorite.......I hope the show tries to reunite "Missing Persons," they were a good one in the 80's too..........Great job reviewing this wonderful VH1 show.

Tom (no last name given)

ANDY LALINO RESPONDS:

Yeah, Tom, MP was such a great band. My fave song of theirs is "Surrender Your Heart", which features a music video made by artist Peter Max. Oddly, it's not on their lame "greatest hits" compilation (a more thorough compilation is long overdue).

In addition to "Extreme", Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Squeeze failed to re-unite as well. There was an online petition to get Squeeze to reunite, but I'm not sure what the status is currently. Frankie made some news in the BBC entertainment portion of their website. It seems that "Bands Reunited" has hit the U.K. and is getting some press. Not sure if you're a Spandau Ballet fan, but the St. Petersburg Times reported over the weekend that they were reuniting with all original members. I know there was some bad blood between Gary Kemp and the other band members, but I guess the music is more important than petty squabbles.

Thanks for reading the column; hope to have more music news up soon. Spread the word!

ANDY
