    THE RETURN OF ANDY LALINO

To Nole and the world of Crazed Fanboy (writing staff & fans alike),
I was touched by Nole's homage to "Oddservations" in the most recent edition of CF. Yes, truth be told that the past few months have been busy ones for me, and unfortunately it took its toll on fun, recreational creative endeavors such as writing the weekly Odd's column. I do apologize, but perhaps soon it will make a return. Please know that I've been checking into CF, as I always do, especially now, since I have a little more time on my hands.

As Nole stated, we have started a production company called Film State 51, which kicks off with an array of great horror films (two in association with renowned director H.G. Lewis) and a documentary. If that wasn't enough, filmmaker and CF regular Chris Woods and I frantically created the online debut of the Horror Channel in late Nov./early Dec (great job editing, Chris). Yes, the network still hasn't launched on cable/satellite T.V., but they have started an online show, called "Revenge of the Midnight Movies", that is quite appealing and should really please the fans. Lastly, I served as Art Director for a beefy low-budget production that came to the Tampa Bay area: Jimmy Fitzpatrick, John Flynn, and Corbin Timbrook's "The Belly of the Beast", an all-new good vs. evil horror film in the tradition of "The Omen". It was a 3-week long shoot with one precious day off, so it left me little time other than to grab a quick meal and sleep. It's over now, save for an additional shoot day on Jan. 5th.

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, and will have a Happy New Year!

Good to hear from you, Andy. Congratulations on all your progress. I look forward to the return of "Oddservations" and a return to you writing commentary on pop culture. -- Nolan
