It is being reported out of Nairobi that a Kenyan woman, starving due to a famine which has stricken the country, envoked a powerful curse by way of witchcraft against God, himself.
As some of you may be aware, millions are on the verge of complete and utter starvation due to prolonged droughts and poor rain, and it's so severe the area has been deemed a national disaster.
Reportedly, the starving woman incanted the words "Whoever brought this famine, let him perish", striking the smoldering pot with a stick. Apparently that has some kind of added effect.
Doing her bidding during the morning hours, the woman from Eastern Kenya waited all day for her curse to take effect. Her querry was answered later that night when God took her life. At least that's how the newspaper in Kenya is reporting it.
While it could easily be argued that this was merely a matter of timing in favor of irony, I can't help but wonder what she had to say when she was standing there for the first time in the presence of God and His glory. It's one thing to blast God, and speak pointed blasphemies against Him, it is quite another to use a forum He forbids, in witchcraft, and invoke a curse agasint Him personally.
I can only hope that she was granted a repreival due to her state of starvation, and God held to the words of His Son, who said "Tho sin abounds, grace does much more abound".
TWISTING THE TONGUE
I'll be brief on this merely because the thought of the man and his arrogance just sickens me, but I find it odd that Bush and his drones have gone from proclaiming they have broken no law regarding spying on Americans illegally and in direct contradiction to the laws of this country and the Constitution of the United States of America that protects our asses, to what came out today (as I write this, Jan. 26, 2006) as they don't BELIEVE they've broken the law. Stark in their contrast, going from utter denial to acceptance of possibility via denial. Kinda reminds me of every single move of this regime, where they paste a pretty picture on their ruthless betrayal of good. We've gone over these things before, of course, so I won't burden you again.
Okay. I'm done.
