ALTERNATE VERSION OF "BLOOD OF DRACULA'S CASTLE NOW AVAILABLE

    Nolan,
Over the years, several readers have written in (most notably in PCR #271) asking about the film "Blood of Dracula's Castle" and an alternate television print that features footage of a werewolf not found in the theatrical version.

Well, after years of looking I finally located a print of the werewolf version! After finally getting to see this variation, I have to say it is a pretty cheesy looking Don Post style werewolf mask and the added footage doesn't do much for the film except add to the running time. One lengthy scene in the middle of the film where the werewolf stalks and kills a young woman almost looks like a short film someone shot independent of even the other werewolf footage! At one hysterical point in the sequence, the young woman being chased stops and gets a look on her face like she can't believe the stupid werewolf can't find her. I can see where people who grew up seeing this version on TV would be shocked to see the regular one where the character of Johnny is just a psycho with a moon fixation.

If anyone is interested in finally seeing the werewolf version or seeing it again and reliving those Saturday afternoon Creature Feature memories, just have them drop me a line care of the PCR.

    SIMON LYNX AND EXISTENTIALISM

    Hey Nolan,
Thanx for the birthday shout out. I read your review of the May TFR, interesting word you used [in the review for "To Live is To Die"]. I guess I never really thought about it, but I guess that character is like that.

    ex·is·ten·tial·ism:

A philosophy that emphasizes the uniqueness and isolation of the individual experience in a hostile or indifferent universe, regards human existence as unexplainable, and stresses freedom of choice and responsibility for the consequences of one's acts.

Hey, I calls 'em and I sees 'em. Haha. Thanks for writing. ---Nolan

    VINNIE SPEAKS ON TRANSFORMERS

    Nolan,
With all the craziness I am seeing on the message board, I may be dethroned as the number one Crazy FanBoy.

BTW, with all the Transformer action, here is a review I found on MySpace:

"sooooooo fucken rad!!! go see but its 2 and half hrs... so bring a piss bag if your drinken brews...like i was lol"
