Lynda, Nolan here...
To say it is an honor to hear from you would be an understatement. Thank
you so much for writing, it is a rare pleasure when someone from Dick
Bennick's family contacts us. (The last we heard from anyone was, I think,
Christina(?) Bennick years ago.)
I am very happy to know you enjoyed our website, in particular the
Creature Feature Database, and am gratified to know it's doing some good
helping to keep the memory of your father-in-law alive for current and
future fans.
I am taking the liberty of forwarding your email to the other Creature
Feature Database architects so they may enjoy it, too. I am also sharing
it with our readers via this week's PCR Lettercol.
I wasn't sure if that episode of TV Bloopers you mentioned featuring Dick
was available or not, but ED Tucker below has an opinion on that.
By all means, if you have a way to scan some of those photos you talked
about PLEASE DO, send them to me and I'll post them on the site ASAP! I
know all his fans would be grateful.
I cannot thank you enough for writing and for sharing some extraordinary
family history with us. It is indeed an honor. Rest assured Dick's memory
is alive and well in the hearts of Creature Feature enthusiasts
everywhere!

ED TUCKER RESPONDS:
Hi Lynda,
ED Tucker here, author of the "lost interview" with Dr. Paul Bearer.
Meeting your father in-law was a great honor for me and I am proud that I got to
help tell his story in his own words for posterity. It was very nice to hear
from you and to know that Dick Bennick's family is keeping the name alive in the
entertainment industry. I believe I have the footage you are looking for.
He made two appearances on the Bloopers show in clips from Creature Feature
that was mixed in with other horror hosts. If you will send me your address
I will see what I can do about putting a DVD together for you.
--ED
