![]() ![]() ![]() Number 363 (Vol. 8, No. 10). This edition is for the week of March 5--11, 2007. The 5-day fest, the most ambitious of its kind in the area (the former TamBay Fest would be next on that list), met or exceeded expectations as far as decent audience numbers and adequate media coverage.
Of course it was not without its critics, glitches, missed schedules, cancelled appearances, and technical snafus, I don't know of any large event I've ever been to that hasn't suffered some or all of these setbacks. The organizers have listened to everyone and will fine-tune things for next year. But all in all, I think Eric Odum, Krista Soroka, the Guzzo Bros. and company can look back with pride at a job well done.
![]() On a personal note: thanks again to festival director Eric Odum for my opportunity to juror the Young Filmmaker Series and select its winner (reviews on the Message Board here). AND.....for the the unexpected shout-out during the Q&A following Immaculate Misconception Sunday afternoon where I was publicly introduced to the packed house as a "celebrity blogger" (haha, I love that. Although I usually describe PCR was an online magazine, hey, to be called a celebrity blogger felt pretty good right then!). Thank you, Eric.
