The major buzz in Tampa indie filmmaking this week is the weekend premiere of Marcus Koch and Joe Davison's magnum opus of horror and special make-up effects, 100 Tears, the story of a homicidal circus clown and the two reporters hot on his trail.
The Friday night cast-and-crew-and-invited-critics event at Channelside Theaters downtown will be attended by Terence Nuzum and myself. The exhibitions open to the public will be Saturday and Sunday at 2:00pm.
The two-minute trailer for 100 Tears I posted on Crazed Fanboy's Radioactive Television is one of my all-time favorite horror trailers ever -- and I'm including national releases, not just local ones.
With distributors already beating a path to their door, Marcus and Joe are understandably excited at the prospect of international attention over their movie.
I think you can count on a review of 100 Tears in next week's PCR.
Progress Report
I'm grateful to everyone who patiently waited out the system outages and technical snafus of the last two weeks while this website settled into its new location. It looks like everything's under control now and things should be returning to normal as of this week.

Movie Season
Is it me or is this year's summer movie season just not packing nearly the ummph it should? There are plenty of amazing titles, all familiar since they're nearly all sequels, but are any records being set? With the summer season still young it's probably premature to start worrying about it, but I'd like to point out that Spider-Man 3 is already in the Top 20 of all time. There are no others predicted to follow as yet. Doesn't mean there are no good movies out there, don't get me wrong, just wondering whatever happened to the days when summer box-office smashes were almost routine.
It Came From The PO Box...
...long delayed due to the aforementioned technical snafus and work schedule conflicts is ready for unveiling. Well, pretty much. It's still a work in progress, but I'm doing the best I can, people!
The World of Nolan and Radioactive Television update
Now that I have the space and bandwidth to work with I never had before, I'm planning new TWON and RTV episodes. In fact (and...ahem...barring further catastrophe), new footage is being shot for TWON Thursday night. A new, permanent intro is being shot for RTV possibly as soon as this weekend. Early appearances by yours truly and old episodes of TWON from Public Access TV from 1999--2002, and previously-posted and "lost" episodes of same (everything salvagable I shot for this website from 2003 on if I can find 'em all) will find their way back online.
