Now in our ninth calendar year!
PCR #431 (Vol. 9, No. 26) This edition is for the week of June 23--29, 2008.

CARLIN As Nol' states on the frontpage, these obituaries of our favorite performers is making me more than a little weary. Seems like ever since I lost mom in October, it has been one after another. And now Carlin.
Hands down one of the most brilliant comedy minds to come down the freeway (which he'd point out is never 'free'). Ultimate cool seemed to be his magic cloak.
His '7 words you can't say' routine was aired on the radio in Tampa in the 70's by some freedom thinking individuals. Can't remember the station, but I think I was with Mike. Perhaps Scott Gilbert as well. Getting older, my mind fails me at times.
Another iconic legend lost to those of us who remain. Needless to say he will be missed greatly.FAMOUS MONSTERS BATTLE I have read the court papers regarding this battle and Mr. Kim's claim of FM ownership rights was denied. The judge states Mr. Kim, if he wants to continue his pursuit (which he does), had to file a new law suit to try and lay claim to the mark, due to both he and Ferry having competing websites claiming trademark ownership.
I was hopeful, naively perhaps, that this would have gotten settled on June 18th, but it now appears we're in for 3+ years of legal wrangling.
Fasten your seatbelts.
God bless
Matthew
