Now in our ninth calendar year!
PCR #439 (Vol. 9, No. 34) This edition is for the week of August 18--24, 2008.
I HATE BEING SICK As I try to enjoy what has been a fun filled and beautiful summer, I'm reminded that the bugs of reality are floating invisibly in the air, waiting for the one time you least expect it, like the end of the season when you should be absolved of things such as sneezing, blowing your nose every 2 minutes, and using your shirt sleeve to get the water out of your eyes.
Alas, this has been my fate the past couple of days which has made me pretty much useless to everything. Well, almost everything.
There is still fantasy football.
Not one to get sick often I hate to admit my deserving of 'wuss status' but so it goes. Just like my fantasy football teams last year, my health has gone down in flames with this flu bug kicking my butt in the most extreme of measures, and in quick time too.
Fortunately I have you good people to bear with my predicament as I pass away these zombie hours created by Sudafed and NyQuil.
Now where is that little green bottle.
Cheers, everyone. "a....a....ah....ah...CHEW"11 DELEGATES BEHIND??? WTF I was stunned to learn yesterday that Hillary Clinton is only a mere 11 delegates behind Barack Obama.
Say what???? Where is that insurmountable lead I heard about for months on end. Oh, okay. So it was just another situation of the media being used by government to thwart what the people really want in an attempt to ensure that:
1. McCain, a Bushite, would win or
2. Obama, a relative of Dick Cheney, would win.
Lucky us.SO LONG GENE Gene Upshaw, Pro Football Hall of Famer and leader of the NFL union for a quarter century, died suddenly Thursday morning after learning only Sunday that he had pancreatic cancer.
A member of 2 Super Bowl winners and one of the true legends of the game.
He was 63.CANCER TEST I haven't done this in a while, but with Upshaw's passing I implore ALL OF YOU READING THIS to PLEASE see your doctor and have a colonoscopy done. Especially if you are in your 40's. No, it's not a fun test to have, but most medical test aren't. What it will do is possibly buy you several more years of life if something is found. For those of us who have lost loved ones to the disease, what a blessing it would be to have them back if for only a few minutes.
Make an appointment TODAY!!God bless,
Matthew
