Now in our ninth calendar year!
PCR #453 (Vol. 9, No. 48) This edition is for the week of November 24--30, 2008.
GOBBLE, GOBBLE This is it.
The one day created for ultimate feeding carnage is upon us.
As our noses are sensing the wonderful smells coming from kitchens across the land, our stomachs are unaware of the weight they will be required to carry in a few brief hours. Our brains will tell us the sofa is a great spot, and TV's will be watching the Lions and Cowboys, as they have been for decades now on this most famous of holidays.
Many of us will burrow thru the day as a fowl feasting endeavor without even a glancing thought of the real meaning to today. Just as many of us will take it to heart, and realize all the things we really have to be thankful for. Like Bush leaving the White House really soon!!
As some of you know i lost my mother last year, so it's still a little melancholy, but I have the knowledge and thankfulness that she WAS my mother. Just as true with my dad who I lost 20 years ago.
Thankful I took that drama class in high school that led to some kid bringing in JAWS on his cassette recorder. What was his name again? Likewise the friends that sprang from that friendship.
Grateful for new friends made in Maine, who have helped me greatly in realizing my dream of performing on a regular basis. Even if the Cowboys are on. (inside joke).
Thankful that my fantasy football teams are doing so well!
Thankful to Nolan for creating PCR, and bringing us all together week in and week out.
And thankful for our readers, who continue to stop by and in some cases contribute to this Ezine of excellence.
I guess what I'm trying to say is there's always something to be thankful for. Even if it's that we haven't been wiped out by a meteor and the clock of life is still ticking.
Hope you all make the most of this day, in carange as well as reflection.
Happy Thanksgiving
God Bless
Matthew
