State of the Nation

Obama Tour - ACORN
During President Obama's media tour through every network, excluding FOX, the President either lied or admitted to NOT reading the bill - particularly, the HIS Stimulus bill.

So, to set the stage: the frenzy over the ACORN videos has finally escalated with Breitbart's Biggovernment.com airing a series of video outing the corruption and illegal activities ellicited at ACORN facilities.

Obama on with George Stephanopoulos:

STEPHANOPOULOS: How about the funding for ACORN?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: Frankly it's not really something I followed closely. I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.

STEPHANOPOULOS: But the Senate and the House have voted to cut it off.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: What I know is that what I saw on that video was certainly inappropriate and deserved to be ‑‑

STEPHANOPOULOS: So you are not committing the cutting off the federal funding?

PRESIDENT OBAMA: George, this is not the biggest issue facing the country. It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to.

The emergency Stimulus bill featured $8.5 billion to be allocated to ACORN. $8.5 Billion, capital "B" and was written by the Apollo Alliance, a participant in organizing the new green jobs initiative with the $500 billion over ten years. That's $50 Billion.

"I didn't even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money." - Obama

Wasn't the initiative from the administration to his cabinet to cut $100 million in costs?

That was $100 million and the President DOESN'T know where $8.5 billion is going AND that is was allotted as part of the Green initiative that's receiving $50 billion per year ?!?!?!

"It's not something I'm paying a lot of attention to."

The President of "Hope and Change", who campaigned on "transparency" needs to know the company receiving $8.5 billion is promoting child prostitution and tax fraud.

We all know you were connected to ACORN years and years ago, but it's important to do what is right, say what is right NOT what's politically expedient.

According to Reuters, President Obama has done more interviews (to this point in his Presidency) than Presidents Clinton and Bush combined! (Obama=124, Clinton=46, Bush=40)

So, maybe if the President weren't so concerned about his celebrity status, appearing on every news channel and David Letterman, he'd have more time to keep track of our $8.5 billion dollars and be aware of the corruption associated with it's recipients.

The Obama tour also contained a major healthcare misconception. The President repeatedly claimed that there would NOT be a tax of any kind for not having health insurance.

He then made the horrific comparison to auto insurance. I thought auto insurance was to protect others, control liability, and not required if you don't drive.

Anyway, back to the healthcare bill:

Page 29: The consequence for not maintaining insurance would be an excise tax.

So even the Congressman sponsoring (writing?) the bill uses the word "tax". This penalty, fee, fine, whatever the President wants to call it is simply a tax.

"This is exactly what George Bush Sr. did when he said he wouldn't raise taxes, and it cost him the next election," said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. "Obama is doing the same thing, but he's insulting people by telling them that if you don't call it a big purple banana, somehow it wouldn't be a tax."

I'm sure the President misspoke, because he's certainly aware of this language in the bill, NOT like the ACORN allocations in the Stimulus bill.

Cosby agrees with Carter, so what about Michael Steele
Bill Cosby has voiced his support of Jimmy Carter's racism allegations.

From Cosby's Twitter account:

"I agree with President Carter that racism is playing a role in recent outbursts against President Obama."

From Cosby's Facebook:

"During President Obama's speech on the status of health care reform, some members of congress engaged in a public display of disrespect. While one Representative hurled the now infamous "you lie" insult at the President, others made their lack of interest known by exhibiting rude behavior such as deliberately yawning and sending text messages.

Various polls prior to the election indicated that between five and ten percent of Americans would never vote for an African American president. That number, of course, only includes those who actually admitted to their prejudice. How many others harbored such feelings but did not respond honestly when asked the question? And how many people oppose Obamas plan because the President is African American?

In "Birth of a Nation," D.W. Griffith used white actors in black face to portray black legislators as having low intelligence and acting like fools. Today, we have a band of real life congressional fools seemingly bent on blocking any meaningful reform of the health care system. But if we allow even one American to die simply because he or she cannot afford treatment, we are creating a shameful scenario that could aptly be called "Death of a Nation."

I remember asking an Obama supporter why he wasn't ahead of Hillary by a wider margin -- immediate response: racism.

Why won't these accusers explain Michael Steele's elevation to chair of the Republican party?

Steele is a conservative African-American, so let's see what he had to say:

"This isn't about race. It is about policy. This is a pathetic distraction by Democrats to shift attention away from the president's wildly unpopular government-run health care plan that the American people simply oppose."

"Characterizing Americans' disapproval of President Obama's policies as being based on race is an outrage and a troubling sign about the lengths Democrats will go to disparage all who disagree with them. "

Wow, I'm not a Michael Steele fan, but he's spot on with that response.

You bunch of Teenagers

Energy Secretary Steven Chu, speaking about "greenhouse gas emissions" compared Americans to unruly teenagers and the Administration as the parent that will have to teach them a few lessons.

"The American publicjust like your teenage kids, arent acting in a way that they should act," Dr. Chu said. "The American public has to really understand in their core how important this issue is."

How will we learn?

The EPA is partnering with Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) to tour 6,000 schools to teach children about climate change and energy efficiency. (promoting the EnergyStar programs)

In 2008 the EPA investigated Energy Star and found that the claims regarding greenhouse gas reductions were inaccurate and based on faulty data. The Inspector General found that the reported energy savings were unreliable, and that many of the touted benefits could not be verified.

False information and misleading claims doesn't stop the agenda machine as it will go on tour. Since we're in a state of global cooling the terminology has changed but their focus on the Nanny State has not.

50 Ways...
The new Progressive Bible for the Obama Nation: "50 Ways to Help Obama Change America" by Michael Huttner and Jason Salzman. Huttner is the founder of the ProgressNow organization that has grown to 12 states since 2003.

I can't wait to dive into this: Chapter one is "Reach out to Conservatives." Michelle Malkin made a fool out of herself by dismissing it as "nutroots" -- hey, stop helping.

This doesn't surprise me one bit as I've been quoting Evan Thomas calling the President a "Cult of Personality" as Obama feeds on his cult status in both the media and amongst many supporters.

Paul Simon's "50 Ways to Leave Your Lover" is now stuck in my head as I turn to the "Adopt a Pound Puppy" chapter.

Quote of the Week
When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans. -- Ron Paul
