Peace be with you....just not in Iran The Olympic Tour? Healthcare Update: MoveOn Strikes Back Die Quickly? Holocaust? Obama Worship Ayers wrote it? Quote of the Week
This week in Iran...Bill Ayers Wrote Obama's Book?...One call?...Olympic tour with the Rock Stars...Healthcare in the Senate & Attacks by MoveOn.org...Republicans: Die Early? & Holocaust comparisons...Political Worship
At the UN meeting last week, President Obama pleased many of his supporters rejecting a unilateral foreign policy and addressing the importance of international law.
The POTUS discussed accountability for Iran (and North Korea)and their pursuit of a nuclear weapons. Iran demonstrated their prowess by launching several short and mid-range missiles (some with multiple warheads).
The Iranian President contiues his threats from the UN pulpit, denying the holocaust and announced they will purchase enriched uranium.
President Obama speaks of peace and we are met with two long range missile tests.
Meanwhile, General McChrystal, the commanding officer in Afghanistan, is requesting a "surge" to repliacte the successes from the Iraq campaign. The White House seemed responsive at first, but now want to re-evaluate the decision to send more troops.
McCrystal did also reveal that he's only spoke to the President ONCE since taking office. Our Commander-in-Chief has spoken to the commander on the ground ONE TIME in 8 months.
ONCE!?!?
He can go on every news channel to promote healthcare but he can't talk to the military leaders to strategize our efforts overseas. The latest report is that the administratin is divided.
So, where is the President going? How is he going to address this?
Well, let me tell you...
Let's bring the Olympics to Chicago in 2016.
President Obama traveled to Denmark to campaign for the Olympics to come to America. This unprecedented trip included Oprah Winfrey and "Good Morning America" described the Obamas as "Rock Stars" in their efforts to win over the IOC.
So, our Rock Star in the White House is more concerned about bringing the Olympics to his hometown (I wonder who would benefit from that decision?) while Iran give him, America, and the UN the finger.
Joe Biden told us this test would come:
"Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."
Yes, Vice President, we see it. We also see our President failing miserably. His inexperience is evident more than ever and is only overshadowed by his lack of conviction.
We fight to win or leave. You can't support democracy and assisting these countries while allowing their neighbor to advance nuclear missile programs.
Mr. President, how will Hamas and Hezbollah behave once their main supporter have nuclear weapons to back them or possibly, provide them?
On the campaign Obama was the war effort shifted back onto Afghanistan, well now he's got it. He's also got Iran, who views Obama as weak and vulnerable firing missiles and announcing they are NOT stopping until they have a nuclear weapons program.
At the same time, Joe Biden compared Obama to John F. Kennedy, so Mr. President you've got your Cuban Missile Crisis - what are you prepared to do?
If Iran doesn't stop, then what?
Meanwhile, back in Washington, the Senate Finance Committee volleys back and forth over details in several of the healthcare bills -- none of which passed the scrutiny so far.
One interesting dynamic is the healthcare reform supporters turning on Democrats who voted against these bills.
Within minutes MoveOn.org and other agencies released attack ads in their home states.
These attack ads attack ads (against these Democrat Senators Kent Conrad, Blanche Lincoln and Max Baucus)
This ad (http://healthcarecantwait.com/) by The Progressive Change Campaign Committee & Democracy for America is one example -- this one attacks Baucus: who's the chair of the committee.
“Senator Conrad is out of step with the country and his political party and needs to be held accountable by his constituents. MoveOn.org’s 5 million members expect the Democrats in Congress to deliver on the promise of change that got them elected.” -- Justin Ruben, executive director of MoveOn.org.
How dare you, Democrat Senator, DARE go against the movement! If you don't vote the way WE SAY, WE WILL come after you, smear you and attack you in your home state.
This is the power of MoveOn.org and others on the left. Just like the Christian factions that hold Republicans hostage over issues, the Democrats are face to face with this as well.
Should we be surprised by the MoveOn attacks?
In my opinion - NO!
Democrats themselves participated in calling Bush "Hitler" and now Townhall protesters "racist". So where is the line in the sand?
Florida Democrat Alan Grayson is getting some heat for the ad in which the Republican health care proposal is simply:
"1. Don't Get Sick 2. And If You Do Get Sick ... 3. Die Quickly"
Grayson contiues by comparing the healthcare crisis to the "holocaust" which he apologized for, well sort of. On the Rachel Maddow show, during his recanting and backpeddling, Grayson settled on calling Republicans "Neanderthals"
Look, the Republicans as a whole have been a joke and proposed a joke of their own on healthcare. However, their incompetence doesn't mean you go with the other guy's plan unilaterally. Most opposition has raised real hard questions, proposed real solutions and alternatives, but
but....
NEITHER party cares.
The Democrat position is loud and clear - ONE PAYER SYSTEM...SOCIALIZED HEALTHCARE. The Republican counterpoint is a juvenal, inferior attempt to mask minimal changes at very high costs.
It's pretty sad when some schlub like me can ask questions they can't answer and propose solutions they can't or won't counter.
Political Worship
The video from a New Jersey public school reveal another of indoctrination and political worship of the current President.
The Youtube video is here but they are being pulled off of YouTube?
"Jesus" and "God" are replaced by Obama as the children chant about Obama's policies and his "Hope and Change."
One exert:
"He said we must be fair today! Equal work means equal pay! Barack Hussein Obama! He said, red yellow, black or white, all are equal in his sight! Barack Hussein Obama!"
Now we have a cult like funeral service pronouncing Healthcare dead and prayers for Obama's change. The initial reports was that the crowd is responding with "Deliver Us Obama" but now the Gamaliel group claims it's shouting "Deliver Us God"
http://www.breitbart.tv/shock-discovery-community-organizers-pray-to-president-elect-obama/
Either way, is this a healthy way to bring reform? The praying and chanting is very disturbing, especially if it's directed to support the President?
Bill Ayers is being confirmed by various sources as the ghost writer for Obama's first book "Dreams of My Father". I've read both Obama books and confirmed to Nolan on several occasions that they are NOT alike in tone, attitude, word usage or tone.
For many this will NOT matter and the Obama's past is just that - the past. (I was told this by a Obama supporter at work)
For many of us that disagree, it further confirms suspicions we've had over Obama links to socialists, communists, America haters and the ilk.
I guess there's a simpler explanation: Obama wrote "Fugitive Days" and Ayers is the fraud.
Iran has acted in ways that's not conducive to peace and prosperity in the region: their threats against Israel; their pursuit of a nuclear weapon which could potentially set off an arms race in the region that would make everybody less safe; their support of terrorist organizations in the past – none of these things have been helpful.
But I do think that it is important for us to be willing to talk to Iran, to express very clearly where our differences are, but where there are potential avenues for progress. And we will, over the next several months, be laying out our general framework and approach. And as I said during my inauguration speech, if countries like Iran are willing to unclench their fist, they will find an extended hand from us. --President Obama, Al Arabiya interview
